Pine Mill Ranch is a small, quite community in the heart of the Katy grasslands area and is governed by Pine Mill Ranch C.A.I. which follows all the guidelines arranged in the original development. Pine Mill Ranch is located just south of I-10, west of the Grand Parkway (State Highway 99) in Fort Bend County. It is bound on the south by Cinco Ranch Boulevard, the west by FM 1463, the east by Spring Green Boulevard and the north by Roesner Road.

Pine Mill Ranch is zoned to the Katy Independent School District and is serviced by the following public schools; Wood Creek Elementary, WoodCreek Junior High and Seven Lakes High School.

Residential trash collection requires the use of one 95-gallon blue poly cart for household garbage and one 95-gallon blue/green cart for recyclables. Garbage collection day is Tuesday every week (except for holidays) and must be placed curbside by 8:00 a.m. Heavy trash, including furniture, appliances, yard waste, bulky items and tree trimmings will be collected each week with your regular garbage collection. Tree trimmings must be less than 2” in diameter, cut into 4-foot lengths and tied neatly in bundles not to exceed 40 pounds.

Residential recycling is collected on the first and third Thursdays of each month and must be placed curbside, in the blue/green cart within 3 feet of the curb and at least 3 feet from the garbage cart. Place the recyclable loose in the cart; do not place in plastic bags. Acceptable items include aluminum cans, trays, clean aluminum foil, milk & juice cartons, steel cans, tin, glass, water bottles, PET soda, HDPE mild and juice jugs (#2 colored plastic resin), PVC narrow neck containers (#3 plastic resin) such as health and beauty aid products and household cleaners, LDPE grocery containers (#4 plastic resin) such as margarine tubs, frozen dessert cups, six and twelve pack rings, PP grocery containers (#5 plastic resin) such as yogurt cups and syrup and ketchup bottles, kitty litter containers, newspapers, cardboard (no waxed cardboard) brown paper bags, magazines, catalogs, telephone books, notebook paper, office paper, gift wrap, cereal boxes, food mix boxes, gift boxes, soda & beer carrying cases, junk mail, envelopes and paperback books.

All trash, recyclables, yard and brush trimmings must be stored out of public view except on collection days. The following holidays are observed by the City of Katy; New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
